Member Recognition
Our own Secretary/ Treasurer, Rich Howlett recently received Two Certifications.
Rich Is now a Certified Healthcare Emergency Manager ( HcEM-B ) through Association of Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Professionals and he is Also a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager ( CHFM ) through the American Hospital Association! Rich tested and received both Certifications in the same week!!
Also, member Michael Green, Facility Manager at Princeton Community Hospital tested and received his Senior MECH Certification ( SRMECH ) through the American Hospital Association. He is the first person in the state that I know of that acquired the Senior MECH designation. He is also taking advantage of WVSHE's reimbursement program! Congratulations Michael.

WVSHE Announces our newest Board 
In more Recent News
President Darian Swiger presented at the Monthly WV APIC meeting at the end of April at the RETI Center in Flatwoods. The presentation "ICRA and Construction in a Heathcare Setting" is one of the efforts being made to collaborate with Infection Prevention throughout the state to create a better relationship between the Groups to mitigate ongoing Construction Containment issues in our Hospitals. There are more plans to make ICRA a big part of the Annual Conference coming up in August.

WVSHE had it's Spring Educational Event, April 11th at the Days Inn Conference Center in Flatwoods WV.
Presenters included Troy Shutler from ChemAqua on New Standard ST108 Requirements for Sterile processing and Andrew Patterson from SenezCo on Hospital Fire Emergencies, Strategies for Defending in-place and Fire Loss prevention in Operating rooms and Surgical Fires.
